The Yarra River provides the ideal location for students to have an introduction to sea kayaking and get immersed in a natural environment close to home. The Yarra River is a great outdoor education venue providing safe launching and landing sites for kayaking, a diverse ecology, natural and human-made features which can be related to studies such as geography, health and physical education, science, history or outdoor environmental studies.

What to wear in the Kayak
Old runners or closed toe shoes (that will get wet!) NO thongs, Crocs, and or Slides
Quick dry board shorts (thermals leggings are good option under shorts to keep the legs warm)
Fleece jumper (stays warm when wet) NO COTTON "Cold Clammy Cotton Kills"
Light rain jacket (Blocks the wind blowing through wet Clothing)
Neck Gaiter, Baseball cap (winter) or board brim hat (summer programs)
No valuables (phones don't float!)
East Coast Kayaking & Sea Kayak Australia align all activities in accordance with Paddle Australia, Department of Education Victoria, Transport Safety Victoria guidelines and Australian Adventure Activity Standards. We are a licensed tour operator with Parks Victoria.
